Lion Scotland delivers new maternity series to Channel 4

New Lion Scotland show for Channel 4 launches on Tuesday Jaunary 3rd 2023 at 10pm (all episodes also available on All4). The series follows the characterful team of midwives at the award-winning Royal Jubilee Maternity Service in the heart of Belfast, one of Northern Ireland’s busiest maternity units delivering 5,000 babies every year. Full of warmth, humour, emotion and lots of newborn babies - this is the midwives’ story told in their own words. 

All births are unique and unpredictable. Each episode features three very different birth stories – from emergency C-sections to extraordinary water births - we follow the midwives supporting a diverse cast of families during this important life moment.

The series is co-executive produced by Emma Morgan (Creative Director of Popular Factual) and Lisa Hazlehurst (Head of Lion Scotland).
