China's Greatest Treasures II

Building on the success of the first series of China’s Greatest Treasures, we’re back on the trail with British art historian Alastair Sooke as he makes a second personal journey through China’s past and present cultural landscape. Across six episodes we will explore six exceptional areas of China’s history and culture. They will include the art from the Yellow River – the cradle of Chinese civilization; Chinese fashion, both historic and cutting edge; the significance of drinking tea in China; traditional music and dance; the powerful symbolism of the Chinese dragon; and the breathtaking beauty of Chinese gardens.
